Restoration Project Cars, 1956 De Soto 2dr HDT Hemi Project For Sale
Found this one of most American luxury cars in the 50s that was made by DeSoto known as Fireflite 2-door coupe and being offered for sale as a complete project car, it could be perfect for restoring. As shown here a 1956 model had a longer stroke, 3.80 inches, giving a 330 cubic inch displacement. The compression ratio increased to 8.5:1 and power increased to 230 hp.
It could be a perfect base for restoration started, the interior was a riot but is complete and original, just re-upholstery all seats and amenities could be perfect. No words about mechanical issues claimed runs and drive well. If you're interested please come closer inspection is a must.

'm selling my 1956 De Soto 2dr HDT. It has the original 330 Hemi & auto, I've had it running from a bottle of gas but haven't gotten to clean the tank yet. Good straight complete & original. I'm only selling because I have found something else that's running & driving. Very hard to find these any more much less complete. I have a clear title for it. My asking price is $6250 obo. I'm not interested in trades. I don't need help selling it. If the add is up it's still for sale. These were the Indianapolis 500 pace car for 1956.
