Restoration Project Cars, 1948 Diamond T Model 509 Firetruck Project For Sale
This one of the American legendary truck made by Diamond T in 1948, very nice object for your restoration project. Title in hand. Pumper truck (back-end) was originally built in Seattle. These Diamond T trucks are very hard to find. They were known as the "Cadillac of Trucks" back in the day. Now, they are known for their factory chopped-top look. This one has some rust & will need some serious fabrication to restore, but still very possible. Otherwise, it would make an awesome rat rod project. This includes the original Hercules gas engine, but doesn't run. Many people convert to the 6BT Cummings diesel.
Owner says, It breaks my heart to sell this fire truck. It was expected to be a future project, just don't have the time & my wife wants it gone. When I first got it, you could barely make out that it said "Yakima County" on the door, which was printed under the last coat of white paint.
