Restoration Project Cars, 1959 MGA Twin Cam Coupe Project For Sale
Offered for sale is an extremely rare and original 1959 MGA Twin Cam Coupe. Only 323 of these cars were ever produced, and only 85 LHD models were made in 1959 for the North American market. This Coupe still retains its Twin Cam specific transmission, hood prop, heater box, 4 wheel disks, all five wheels, and tachometer, however the engine was replaced with a 1600 unit in the 60's as the original engines were known to fail. Many of the hard to find Twin Cam engine parts have been found and come with the car, such as: cylinder head, oil pan, front engine plate with ancillaries, new JE pistons, and other miscellaneous engine parts. The car is quite solid and straight, and shows no signs of collision damage. Unrestored, original examples such as this are tremendously hard to find.
